Kingdom of Norway | Kongeriket Norge (Norwegian Bokmål) | Kongeriket Noreg (Norwegian Nynorsk)
Norway is a country in Northern Europe on the Scandinavian Peninsula. Located to the west of Sweden, which shares a lengthy north-south border with it, Norway also touches both Finland and Russia a bit in its most northern regions. Its long coastline spans the North Sea at its south, the North Atlantic Ocean to its expansive west, and the Barents Sea of the Arctic Ocean in the north.
Norway is officially the Kingdom of Norway, and that kingdom has within its domain the Jan Mayen island and the Svalbard archipelago. Norway also has three uninhabited dependent territories in the Southern Hemisphere: Peter I Island, Queen Maud Land, and Bouvet Island. These are not within the Kingdom of Norway, but still under Norwegian sovereignty.
