Liechtenstein Travel Guide: Country & Destination Information for Visiting

Principality of Liechtenstein | Fürstentum Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein is a tiny, landlocked country in Central Europe. Actually, it is one of those rare entities where it is termed doubly-landlocked, as it is completely surrounded by countries which are themselves also landlocked. Liechtenstein is bordered by Austria to the east and Switzerland to the west.

Liechtenstein is not a member of the European Union or the euro currency, but it does participate in the Schengen Area and the European Economic Area. It has adopted the Swiss Franc (CHF) as its own currency.
