Wide-Body Aircraft Definition

A wide-body aircraft is a larger plane (aircraft) with a row of seats going down the center, along with rows of seats on each side, meaning there are two aisles in the main cabin.

A wide-body aircraft is also known as a twin-aisle aircraft or dual-aisle aircraft. It is the opposite of a narrow-body (single-aisle) aircraft.

Popular wide-body aircraft include the venerable Boeing 747 and the new Airbus A380.
