Preboarding

Updated: 2017-03-27.

Preboarding, in airline parlance, is when the boarding process begins. Usually, airlines will use preboarding to allow families with children or persons with disabilities to board the aircraft to allow them extra time to settle in, before calling the rest of the passengers. To preboard is to allow certain passengers to board before the rest at general boarding.
