Long-Haul

Updated: 2017-03-27.

Long-haul, in airline parlance, are flights where a relatively long distance is traveled. A long-haul flight is usually international, intercontinental, or at least transcontinental. Some international flights might not be long-haul, or even medium-haul; a flight from Miami to Kingston would be considered “short haul.” Most consider a long-haul flight to be six hours or more. Shorter flights are termed short-haul and medium-haul.
