Glamping

Updated: 2019-03-17.

Glamping is a style of camping that involves more luxuries and amenities than simply roughing it, perhaps with electricity, furniture, etc.

Glamping is a travel industry neologism, a portmanteau of the words glamourous and camping. It first appeared in the UK in 2005, and it was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2016.
