Direct Flight

Updated: 2017-03-27.

In airline parlance, a direct flight is a flight that must keep the same flight number throughout, though it may stop for a change of aircraft (equipment). Differs from a nonstop flight, which would travel directly from the originating airport to the final destination without stopping for a connection or layover.
