Boutique Hotel

Updated: 2017-12-14.

A boutique hotel is a type of hotel, usually smaller than the chain hotels, that conforms to a niche. Though the definition is abstract, a boutique hotel will usually offer fewer rooms but more personalized service.

Boutique hotels are often more upscale and luxurious. Though the boutiques may have these upsides, such as a mom-and-pop feel and the personalized service, guests might choose to stay away and opt for the chains if they value rewards through a loyalty program, for example.
