Allemansrätten, literally “everyman’s right,” is a Swedish concept which stands for a cultural issue as well as a legal one.

Allemansrätten is similar to “freedom to roam” laws in other countries, Allemansrätten allows everyone to have access to nature and its resources for recreational use, whether the land is public or private, access to walk, cycle, ride, ski, and camp on almost any land, with few exceptions.
